We have an exciting opportunity for 6-10 talented individuals to join Schneider Electric’s training programme of future Smart Building Engineers where you’ll receive a tailored training program, on the job coaching and a work environment that allows you to create smart, sustainable, energy efficient buildings.
As a Smart Building Engineer you will work on challenging, demanding and varied projects across all types of buildings from stadiums, universities, hospitals, hotels, retail and data centres.
The training programme is designed to cater for those with minimal prior knowledge of smart buildings delivered using a blend of digital, classroom and hand-on training in Schneider’s purpose-built academy. It will include approximately 8 to 12 weeks of training and 1-2-1 coaching, depending on your existing skills, spread over the first 3 to 6 months.
Upon completion of your training, you’ll join an established engineering team where you will begin to design, deploy and set to work smart building technologies, whilst being continually coached and supported to enable you to master your newly gained skills.
To be successful in the role of Smart Buildings Engineer you will need a general background in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics with a corresponding level 3 qualification being preferred, but not essential. A proven ability to deliver in the workplace is important, coupled with an interest in digital technologies and software.

Roles will be based within a local region, with positions available throughout the UK&I. During the training period you will need to spend time at Schneiders training academy in Coventry. This will be planned in advance and all travel and accommodation expenses will be covered and should not exceed 1 week per month.
